The governor with all these so-called plans somehow lets corruption pass by his desk undetected or ignored.
Something to keep in mind with all of the private contracting problems: in recent years, the Republican-led legislature and Phil Bryant authorized private contractors be hired to investigate delayed child support payments and drug testing of recipients of assistance programs. These measures were lobbied by the Barbour family. Where is Phil Bryant sending our money?
Shady deals, money in politics, and an aloof Phil Bryant. What possibly could go wrong?

If it has the name "Barbour" attached to it, it is likely unethical. The Barbour clan knows the law, so they push "ethics" to just this side of illegal. Mississippi is run by a bunch of rich, powerful lobbyists (aka, Barbours, Lott, etc).
How about the fact that YOUR gov. Musgrove appointed this man?
I had a feeling it was a matter of time before someone brought Musgrove into this. Go back and read the indictment, and you'll see the dates in question go back to 2007 while Haley Barbour was governor. If you'll recall, that's three years after Musgrove left office.
Of course.. Just because the indictment only goes back to 2007 doesn't mean Epps wasn't a crook before then...
